The spread of education made it necessary to establish teacher training institutes at rural level in Maharashtra. Considering the need of such institutes in North Maharashtra, the society established Nanasaheb Dr. Uttamrao Mahajan Shikshanshastra Mahavidyalaya at chalisgaon. The college has a very high reputation in the society; it is because of the Academic leaders, who with their immense efforts & vision developed the college. At present the Institute is progressing fast with qualitative & quantitative development under the able and efficient leadership of Principal "Dr. Sarita M. Beldar ".
